This weeks workout . . . Are you ready??
I’m actually taking a rest.
I know we talked about it a little in our keys to fitness series but I just wanted to remind you that rest is so important!
Some of you may remember from my menu plan on monday that we have not been feeling 100% in our house this week. So I have decided to listen to my body and take a week off. *gasp* How dare I?? 😉
Rest really is so important.
It is in the rest and recovery days that your muscles will recover and rebuild, which in turn will show you results.
I for one don’t want to burn out my body so its forced into a period of extended rest due to injury or exhaustion, what about you?
So in my week of rest I plan to play in the park with my little lady, take walks with my beautiful family and enjoy some serious stretching, yoga and relaxation.
You know what . . . I absolutely adore exercise and working out but I am looking forward to this week of rest, recovery and relaxation.
Listen to your body, take a break when you need to. It’s ok. Promise. No need to feel guilty. You work hard, give yourself a break now and then. You deserve it. Being fit and healthy is all about balance. Everything in moderation.
