For my birthday this year, I was fortunate enough to receive Chalene Johnson’s latest workout series TurboFire. Now I am a huge fan of Chalene Johnson, she really is an amazing and inspirational woman. If you don’t know much about her or her work you should definitely look into it. She is a health and fitness expert who gives so much of herself, not only that but she puts her family first which is something I truly respect and aspire to do daily.
TurboFire is an intense new cardio conditioning program and it comes with a 5-day inferno plan which is basically an eating and workout plan to kick start your metabolism. TurboFire will pick you up and push you past your limits….and boy does it!
I thought you might like to share a little in my experience of the 5-day inferno plan so here are a few notes from each day.
Day 1 –
We are off to a great start! I got my before measurements and photos done. Breakfast was good and I’m feeling energized and so excited about this week.
Felt really strong in my workout today too, got to love a 55 minute workout that is so fun it feels more like 20 mins. Although I must tell you I was one sweaty mess by the end of it.
Feeling fantastic, bring on day 2!
Day 2 –
Bumpy start today, not cool. Note to self (and a word of warning to any of you who plan to do this inferno plan in the future) never attempt to do a HIIT20 and Fire45 workout before breakfast! Very bad idea. We had a busy day in our family today so the plan was to get our workout in early so we could make our other appointments but due to the rough start I found myself feeling a bit flat and couldn’t even manage to get through the entire workout! None the less we got through the day and look forward to a better day tomorrow.
Day 3 –
Off to a much better start today although im not one for cottage cheese. I don’t know what it is, something about the texture just does not agree with me. Anyway apart from the cottage cheese issue another great day. Feeling a little fitter already. Found my recovery from the Fire55 workout much quicker this time. I have to say that i love love love Fire55. Very well put together Chalene, nice work 🙂
Day 4 –
I can’t believe we are at day 4 already! How time flies. Not sure if its in my mind or my jeans are actually a bit looser. Now I know I didn’t really need to lose any weight and that was not my aim for taking on this challenge. I just really wanted to kick my workout/fitness up a notch and take it to the next level.
My Workouts were great today, much better than Tuesday….I was a bit frightened that I didn’t even remember some sections of the workout. Scary! Just goes to show how much your food intake can effect your brain. So important to be getting the right fuel for your body to be able to function at its best!
Day 5 –
The final day! What can I say, its been a great week. I have challenged myself in so many ways. My mind, body and even my taste buds were opened to a new way of life and I can honestly tell you that I am going to try to incorporate many aspects of this week into my daily life. We have also found a few new family favourite recipes which is always a bonus in my eyes.
I am really looking forward to getting my results.
Results –
Well I cant believe it. I lost a total of 9 inches and my husband lost 7 (measuring arms, chest, waist, hips and thighs)! Wow! Honestly I was not expecting such a difference. See for yourself here are my before and after photos:

9 inches in 5 days? If you had said 3 or 4 I would of found that a little more believable. Given that on average 5 pounds makes up one inch of the waist I am to assume that you lost (rough estimate) 45 pounds in 5 days? Either you’re bad at measuring and the before and after pictures are accurate OR this is just a paid blog to advertise the product. My advice, drop the 9 inches bit.
Hi Bobby Bob,
I think there may have been a misunderstanding. My loss of 9 inches was a cumulative total measuring arms, chest, waist, hips and thighs. As I did this over a year ago I can not recall the exact measurements of each area.
I am sorry if you feel I have mislead you in anyway, that was not my intention.
Sincerest apologies
Emma
