I have been working toward eliminating grains from my diet for the past few months. I have to say, I feel better than I have in a long time!
Even if you don’t want to go completely grain free, I highly recommend reducing grains, or at least removing them from your evening meal. You will most likely wake up feeling less sluggish and bloated than you do when you load up on carbs for dinner.
Here is our grain free menu plan for this week:
If you need a helpful cookbook, I highly recommend, Practical Paleo by Diane Sanfilppo. It’s packed with great information and delicious recipes. It also includes lots of great pictures.
Monday
Oven roasted chicken with truffle salt and thyme served with carrots and mashed cauliflower
Tuesday
Going out! Plan to eat meat and veggies or a big salad.
Wednesday
Pasta sauce with homemade turkey sausage over broccoli. Salad on the side.
Thursday
Frittata and salad
Friday
Stuffed Bell Peppers and veggies
Saturday
Italian Chicken and Vegetable soup
Sunday
Leftovers
I’m also planning to make this Italian sausage spice blend and get some sausage in the freezer for next week.
I am needing to go grain free also, to help psoriasis and our toddler’s tooth decay. Any suggestions for breakfast and snacks? Right now she loves oatmeal , pasta and homemade cookies.
Blessings!
My kids love oatmeal, pasta and homemade cookies, too! I’m trying to wean them off of these things ๐
For breakfast we do a lot of eggs. I also make a homemade turkey sausage that they enjoy:

I have a recipe for mini quiches that is very simple, too. I’ll try to post that for you.
Pumpkin pancakes and pancakes made with coconut flour go over fairly well.
Snacks is the hardest for me. I made some almond crackers on Sunday and they enjoyed those.
Other snacks include: nuts, veggies. grain free muffins, meat and cheese.
